NTU Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a relatively new club on the scene at NTU. The club was founded in 2008 and has grown from strength to strength each year. It is now one of the biggest sporting societies at NTU. Lacrosse is one of the fastest and skilled games around and its popularity is growing rapidly across the country.

 

NTU currently have two Men's teams and two Women’s team entered in the BUCS University League and strong development squads for beginners.

In the 2014/2015 season the Men’s 1’s were promoted to Northern Premiership, meanwhile the 2nd's secured their spot in Midlands 1A for another year, having earnt a very respectable 4th in the league. This gave them the title of the highest placed 2nd team in BUCS!

Another successful year for the women's 1st team, after pushing for 3rd place in Midland 2B,  which will stand them in a good position to push for promotion again this year.

The women’s second team have gained a place within BUCS, Midlands 2A.

The Men's squad will again be competing in the fiercely competitive and hugely anticipated Annual Charity Varsity series at the end of the season.

  

We train twice a week at Clifton campus with weekly strength and conditioning sessions, also participating in regular BUCS matches on Wednesday afternoons. We also have beginner games and tournaments so whether you’re an advanced player or just starting out, you will be more than welcome. Lacrosse are a very social club and have socials every Wednesday and many other events throughout the year.
